Rich Hoffman is an American meteorologist and Weather Forecaster who currently serves as the morning and afternoon weathercaster for News 12 Long Island (5 a.m. to 3 p.m.), generating more than 40 weathercasts per shift. He joined News 12 Long Island in New York in September 2002. Rich is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Prior to News 12, he was a meteorologist at NECN in Boston and WGGB-TV in Springfield, Massachusetts.

He began his television career at WNYT in Albany in the year 1996 where he later joined WETM in Elmira, New York. He went further and joined WVNY in Burlington whereby, at this level, Rich became more expert on weather forecasting, and therefore, he occupied her first Meteorologist position at WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut where he got a chance and joined NECN in Boston and WGGB-TV.
