The Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists named Duncan Journalist of the Year in 2012, and she is an Emmy-nominated journalist who has won numerous honors for her reporting, including two National Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association, the Associated Press, and the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists.
Duncan worked at the CBS-owned Philadelphia television station KYW for three years prior to joining CBS News. For a series of reports on disabled adults who were held hostage in a Social Security scam, she won first place from the Associated Press at KYW. In 2011 and 2012, Duncan also covered Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy.
Prior to that, Duncan worked as a reporter for WIVB (CBS) in Buffalo, N.Y., from 2007 until 2010.
