She is also known for serving as a correspondent for the news magazine program ‘Dateline NBC’. She joined NBC News in April 1998 initially as a correspondent for Dateline NBC and all NBC News platforms.

In September 2007, Hoda started hosting Today’s first fourth-hour weekday morning broadcast at 10:00 a.m. Later in April 2008, she was accompanied by Kathie Lee Gifford. In April 2019, Gifford left the show and was later succeeded by Jenna Bush Hager. On February 23, 2015, Kotb began hosting a live, one-hour show twice a week on Sirius XM’s Today channel, discussing casual, water cooler topics.
She on the other hand occupied her present position on January 2nd, 2018, where she was promoted to co-anchor Today show with Savannah Guthrie after anchor Matt Lauer was fired on November 29th, 2017 by NBC News after he was accused of sexual misconduct.
