Before joining CNN, he was a reporter in the Washington bureau of The Wall Street Journal where he covered the Justice Department. He joined The Wall Street Journal n 1998 as a reporter whereby he covered real estate from the Florida bureau and later headed to Atlanta in 2001 to report on airlines, cruise lines and home builders. He was among the team of Journal reporters nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the 2004 Florida hurricane season.
Before joining The Wall Street Journal, he was a reporter for the Associated Press in Miami from 1995 to 1998.
