Dale Hansen is an American journalist, a sportscaster who recently served as the weeknight sports anchor, at the 10 pm newscast at ABC’s Dallas affiliate WFAA, on channel 8 in Dallas Texas since 1983. He also hosted one of the highest-rated local programs in Dallas-Fort Worth  Dale Hansen’s Sports Special show at 10:35 pm on Sundays. Dale’s last day at the station was September 2, 2021.

Hansen also acts as director of sports at WFAA. In 2019, Hansen kept records as the first and the only local on-air broadcaster who earned the Radio Television Digital News Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
