She moved from WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she covered legal and political beats and won multiple accolades for her general assignment and investigative reporting, to KRON 4. She may be the only reporter in Milwaukee to receive a city proclamation designating a day in her honor, in addition to the fact that her decision to move from Milwaukee to San Francisco made major news.
For her efforts, Catherine has won numerous awards, including the prestigious news program “Cloistered Nuns.” Catherine and her photographer were the first and only outsiders ever allowed entry to the monastery of the Poor Clares in Los Altos Hills when she was working on that series. Her coverage of the Northern Ireland peace plan process, the Women’s World Cup Championship and the Northridge earthquake are just a few of the other noteworthy stories she has produced.
