He was also chairman of the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority and taught evening classes at Bucks County Community College until being appointed a trustee. From 1987 to 1992,  Pisani taught real estate development with his son at the Wharton School and also sold life insurance for Penn Mutual, had a job with United Airlines, and became vice president of construction for Sylvan Pools in Doylestown. With his son Robert, Pisani published a book “Investing in Land: How to Be a Successful Developer” in 1988.

Ralph married his first wife Elizabeth in 1950 but they divorced and he married Barbara Helen Teal a property manager in 1966. He passed on in 2020 of complications from a fall at his home in Palm Beach Gardens at the age of 90. Bob grew up alongside his siblings Ralph Jr., Christopher, and Katherine P. Pooner. He also has a half-brother from his father’s second wife.
